and Control of Sap-stain and Mould on Timber.
Description AP5 is particularly suitable for use on newly sawn timber and newly peeled logs as it uses the natural internal moisture in the timber to penetrate deeply. When used directly after peeling, it will prevent the development of sap-stain. AP5 has Copper 8 Quinolinolate as its active ingredient. Copper 8 has been proven as a low toxicity, highly effective timber preservative. AP5 is registered pursuant to the NZ Preservatives Act 1979 No 3974.

Typical Uses Due to its low toxicity, AP5 can be used on timber in contact with fruit, vegetables and foodstuffs. e.g. boxes, bins, trays, stakes, pallets, fences, shingles, weatherboards, furniture, millwork, beehives etc. AP5 is also used to control mould and mildew on paint, varnish, concrete, brick, tile, fibrolite, wood, paper, leather, textiles, rope, nets, canvas, gib board, plaster etc.
